Make sure to avoid using these 10 Words from your resume! A Linkedin Survey determined the 10 most overused words on a person’s profile and determined that they have been overused, and therefore should be removed. Think about it. Rather than list these words, explain to an employers why you’re motivated, have extensive experience, a track record, etc. The words, on their own, are empty unless you have the information specifically placed on your resume. Or, make sure to elaborate on your cover letter why you believe you are creative, or motivated. With these tips in mind, make sure to periodically review your resume, and remove or update any information that you think would make employers scratch their heads or assume any information about you.
